Real‑World Range Test: 2024 Kia EV6 Wind RWD Across City, Highway, and Cold Weather

Pasamos un día entero probando el Kia EV6 Wind RWD 2024 (batería de 77.4 kWh, llantas de 19 pulgadas) para medir su autonomía en condiciones reales, recorriendo calles de la ciudad, vías suburbanas y autopistas, incluyendo un segmento en frío para evaluar la carga del sistema de climatización. Así es como se comportó fuera del laboratorio.

Nuestro coche de prueba fue un Kia EV6 Wind RWD 2024, con un motor trasero de una sola unidad que rinde 225 hp y 258 lb-ft. La autonomía EPA es de 310 millas con llantas de 19 pulgadas. El peso en vacío es de aproximadamente 4,200 lb, la carga rápida DC se anuncia con un pico de hasta 240 kW en una arquitectura de 800V, y la batería tiene una capacidad bruta de 77.4 kWh (aproximadamente en los 70s kWh utilizables).

Cargamos hasta el 100%, ajustamos los neumáticos a 39 psi en frío, y realizamos múltiples recorridos: urbano (promedio de 23 mph), suburbano mixto (promedio de 38 mph), y dos recorridos controlados en carretera (65 mph y 75 mph, verificado por GPS). Las temperaturas ambientales variaron entre 48 y 72°F con vientos ligeros (8 a 12 mph). El control del clima se configuró a 72°F en automático, modo de conducción ECO, y la regeneración en i-Pedal para la ciudad y automático para la carretera. El cambio de elevación se mantuvo dentro de ±150 pies; utilizamos tramos de ida y vuelta para cancelar el efecto del viento y la pendiente.

El recorrido urbano (25 millas a 68–72°F) devolvió 4.3 mi/kWh (233 Wh/mi), proyectando aproximadamente 318 millas en la batería utilizable. Las paradas y arranques favorecieron la fuerte regeneración del EV6; el i-Pedal permite una conducción suave con un solo pedal hasta detenerse, reduciendo el uso del freno. La cabina se mantuvo silenciosa sobre pavimento irregular y la configuración del acelerador en ECO ayudó a evitar picos que desgastan la eficiencia. En tráfico más pesado con mayor uso del HVAC, vimos entre 4.0 y 4.2 mi/kWh.

La conducción suburbana mixta (45 millas, corredores de 40–55 mph con semáforos) entregó 3.9 mi/kWh (256 Wh/mi), proyectando entre ~288 y 295 millas. A una velocidad constante de 65 mph sobre pavimento seco y a 70°F, el EV6 promedió 3.6 mi/kWh (278 Wh/mi), lo que equivale a ~265-270 millas. Aumentar a 75 mph hizo que la eficiencia cayera a 3.1 mi/kWh (323 Wh/mi), proyectando entre ~225 y 235 millas; nuestros promedios de ida y vuelta fueron de 3.2 mi/kWh con viento a favor y 3.0 mi/kWh con viento en contra. Una ligera lluvia a 65 mph también redujo los resultados a ~3.3 mi/kWh debido al aumento de la resistencia a la rodadura y la carga del limpiaparabrisas/HVAC.

Un segmento frío a 37–42°F con la cabina a 72°F mostró la penalización esperada del HVAC. A 65 mph, registramos 2.7 mi/kWh (370 Wh/mi), o ~195-205 millas, mientras que la conducción en ciudad a baja velocidad en las mismas condiciones mejoró a ~3.3 mi/kWh, ya que el calor residual y la regeneración hicieron más del trabajo. A lo largo del día, cubrimos 236 millas y terminamos con un 4% de carga, mostrando 71.0 kWh como utilizados, lo que se traduce en aproximadamente 74–75 kWh utilizables incluyendo el margen. Las predicciones del estado de carga al llegar del computador de viaje estuvieron dentro de 2-3 puntos porcentuales después de los primeros 10 millas de aprendizaje.

En resumen: el EV6 supera cómodamente las 300 millas en un uso urbano moderado, se sitúa alrededor de 260-270 millas a una velocidad constante de 65 mph, y cerca de 225-235 millas a 75 mph. En temperaturas cercanas al congelamiento con calefacción continua, planea para ~200 millas a velocidades de carretera. Para los compradores, la configuración RWD/19 pulgadas es el punto óptimo de eficiencia; mantente a velocidades moderadas, precalienta en invierno y confía en la planificación de ida y vuelta para validar tu propia base. Es un cruiser tranquilo que genera confianza, con un comportamiento de rango honesto y predecible.
