Una semana con el Honda Accord Hybrid Sport-L 2024 en nuestro circuito de caminos difíciles nos permitió centrarnos en la suavidad de la conducción, la dureza del impacto de las ruedas y el ruido de la suspensión, realizando pruebas consecutivas en diferentes superficies.

Prueba de auto: 2024 Accord Hybrid Sport-L (204 hp/247 lb-ft con motor híbrido de dos motores 2.0L, suspensión delantera tipo MacPherson/multibrazo trasera), peso en vacío de aproximadamente 3,500 lb, distancia entre ejes de 111.4 pulgadas. Los neumáticos eran 235/40R19 montados en llantas de 19x8.5 pulgadas, con una presión de 35 psi en frío. Realizamos nuestro recorrido de 12 millas por calles de la ciudad parchadas, asfalto desgastado, sellado grueso y concreto con juntas de expansión frecuentes. Las temperaturas ambientales variaron entre 60 y 72°F, con dos ocupantes y aproximadamente 50 lb en el maletero.

Los datos incluyeron niveles de sonido en la cabina y notas cualitativas de NVH a 20–75 mph. La suspensión secundaria sobre pavimento roto es controlada, pero algo rígida con el paquete de 19 pulgadas. A 25–35 mph sobre imperfecciones cercanas, la carrocería se asienta aproximadamente un ciclo después del impacto principal; hay un mínimo movimiento vertical y la flotación es casi inexistente. La amortiguación de rebote se siente bien calibrada, evitando el vaivén que notamos en sedanes con una suspensión más suave, aunque el auto puede inquietarse en bordes agudos.

Los topes de velocidad tomados a 20 mph produjeron una compresión/rebote limpio sin sacudidas posteriores; a 30 mph, se siente un breve golpe vertical secundario a través de la base del asiento. La dureza del impacto en las llantas es moderada. Los baches de bordes cuadrados (de 1.5 a 2.0 pulgadas de profundidad) a 18–20 mph provocan un "thud" firme en lugar de un "crack" quebradizo, y los impactos son lo suficientemente redondeados como para no hacerte estremecer. La vibración en la columna de dirección es mínima, y la estructura se siente rígida con un ligero temblor en la parte delantera.

Sin embargo, la combinación de llantas de perfil bajo de serie 40 y una masa de rueda relativamente alta transmite un golpe notable a la cabina en impactos consecutivos, más a través de los asientos delanteros que del piso. Al bajar a llantas de 17 pulgadas (probamos un EX-L con 225/50R17), se suavizan notablemente estos eventos y se reduce la agudeza. El ruido de suspensión está bien controlado para la categoría. Sobre asfalto roto a 30–35 mph, registramos un nivel de 68–71 dBA en estado estable, con picos breves de 73–74 dBA en bordes agudos.

El sonido dominante es un "thwump" amortiguado y el golpe de las llantas en lugar de un ruido metálico; no se escuchó ningún golpe en el soporte superior o chasquido del enlace de la barra estabilizadora, incluso al articular un lado en bordillos desiguales. En concreto rugoso a 70 mph, el ruido general en la cabina se situó alrededor de 70–72 dBA, con el rugido de los neumáticos aumentando más que el golpe de la suspensión. A través de juntas de expansión en la autopista a 65–75 mph, los impactos primarios son audibles pero rápidamente amortiguados, con poco movimiento de adelante hacia atrás y buen control de elevación. Las ondulaciones de largo alcance se gestionan sin porpoising, y el auto evita el rebote secundario que a veces se presenta en sedanes medianos más suaves.

La estabilidad lateral sobre juntas escalonadas es tranquila; la parte trasera sigue de manera limpia con solo un retumbido sordo en las costuras más duras y de bordes cuadrados. En general, la suspensión secundaria del Accord Hybrid es disciplinada e inspiradora de confianza, pero el conjunto de 19 pulgadas del Sport-L sacrifica algo de comodidad por respuesta. Si tus caminos están llenos de baches, el EX/EX-L con llantas de 17 pulgadas (y neumáticos mantenidos en el rango bajo de la etiqueta) ofrece impactos visiblemente más suaves y un ruido de suspensión ligeramente menor. Los compradores que priorizan un aislamiento lujoso podrían preferir un Camry Hybrid con llantas de 17; aquellos que valoran el control de la carrocería y la precisión de la dirección estarán contentos aquí.
