Las verificaciones de visibilidad utilizaron un maniquí del tamaño de un niño y conos de 30 cm a distancias conocidas para cuantificar cuándo los objetos se volvían visibles. Elevar el asiento 20 mm redujo la superposición de oclusión en el campo cercano con el espejo en aproximadamente un 10 por ciento durante nuestras pruebas de entrada a carriles. Ventana trasera: El vidrio del hatch dividido ofrece 0.36 m² de área utilizable a través del espejo interior (panel superior 0.27 m², panel inferior 0.09 m²). El campo de visión del espejo interior midió 19 grados horizontal y 9 grados vertical; el espejo muestra un carril completo a 25 m y la mayor parte de dos carriles a 60 m. El monitoreo de puntos ciegos se activa de manera confiable con objetivos desde -0.5 hasta -10 m y hasta 3.5 m de desplazamiento lateral. La cámara trasera midió 123 grados horizontal y 60 grados vertical, con resolución de 1280×720 a 30 fps y aproximadamente 110 ms de latencia. Las guías dinámicas estaban dentro de ±6 cm a 2 m y ±12 cm a 5 m. Baja luz y clima: En un ambiente de 1 lux, la cámara aún identificó a un maniquí de niño a 4.5 m y un cono de 30 cm a 6 m; a plena luz del día, esas distancias se extendieron a 8 m y 12 m respectivamente.

El manejo de deslumbramiento es bueno, pero la lluvia intensa añade halación por las gotas; los calentadores de los espejos despejan en aproximadamente 90 segundos a 35°F. En general, la visibilidad es excelente para un hatch moderno con un gran alerón: el pilar A requiere un movimiento adicional de la cabeza en intersecciones en ángulo, pero la cobertura de los espejos y el amplio campo de visión de la cámara mitigan efectivamente los puntos ciegos hacia atrás. Ajusta los espejos según la SAE, eleva ligeramente el asiento si eres más bajo que el promedio y confía en la cámara para un estacionamiento preciso en lugar de la detección a media distancia.
